Interactive Exercise: ASTM E336 Setup
To accurately calculate the Apparent Sound Transmission Class (ASTC), you must gather frequency-specific data using spatial averaging in the source room.
Your Task: Use the virtual meter below to configure your device for an ASTM E336 Airborne reading. Once configured, hit RUN to collect a sample, then hit STOP. Finally, navigate to the Menu and select EXPORT DATA to see if your setup is correct.

Your team has placed a standard tapping machine on the floor assembly in the source room above you. You are stationed in the receiving room below to capture the Impact Sound Pressure Levels (ISPL).
Your Task: Configure the virtual meter below for an ASTM E1007 Impact reading. You must gather the correct data format necessary to calculate an Apparent Impact Insulation Class (AIIC) rating. Hit RUN to gather the tapping data, then hit STOP and EXPORT your findings.
