HVAC Duct Noise and Vibration Isolation Assessment

MD Acoustics completed a noise and vibration control assessment for a plenum (HVAC) duct penetrating a party wall separating an equipment room from an office space. Low frequency noise and vibration transfer was felt and heard throughout the common office space as a result of the plenum and duct work associated with the HVAC. As a result, MD was asked to assess and provide abatement solutions to reduce/limit the amount of noise/vibration transfer into the office space. Retro-fit abatement recommendations were made to keep equipment noise levels to an acceptable level.
